Andrew G. "Andy" James Sr., 78, Altoona, died Saturday at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Stanford E. and Pearl I. (Keith) James. On Nov. 21, 1959, he married Mary J. Sinclair in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years; two daughters: Karen DeLuca (Anthony) and Tammy Myers(John); three sons: Andrew Jr., Michael and David James (Christy); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Stella Raptosh; a brother-in-law, Herbert Hostler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Lillian Reese, Mary Jane Hostler and Lavina Ruznak; and also by a brother, John.
Andy was the former owner of Andy's Bar and Grill. He was a member of the Faith United Church of Christ in Altoona and member of the Altoona Rifle and Pistol Club.
Andy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the Green Bay Packers.
Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park, Pastor John L. Emig officiating. Entombment will be at Alto-Reste Park.
