Obituary for Barbara Joy Deyarmin

Barbara Joy Deyarmin

Sept. 9, 1938 – May 3, 2021

Barbara Joy Deyarmin, 82, formerly from Gallitzin, earned her Heavenly wings Monday. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Barbara was born in Philadelphia, daughter of Sara G. Bismark (Johnson) and later adopted by her father, Eugene T. Bismark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Deyarmin; a daughter, Nicole L. Vincent; a brother, Thomas E. Bismark; and a sister, Judith Bismark (Hills).

Barbara is survived by three children: George E. Vincent (Jennie), David J. Vincent (Susan) and Danette L. Leak (Garvis).

Barbara Joy enjoyed her life in many ways: from cooking, to dancing and singing, to playing games like bowling and bingo. She also found excitement in traveling to new destinations. For years, Barbara was an active participant in her community by completing tasks such as serving on the board of elections.

Barbara Joy will be remembered in warm memories echoing laughter; most likely from her repeating one of her outdated phrases. For that reason and many more, Barbara Joy will be greatly missed by her beloved children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

All services will be privately held. Entombment will take place in Alto-Reste Park.

Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
