Barry Glenn ‘Bear’ Yoder

Aug. 30, 1952 – July 8, 2020

Barry Glenn “Bear” Yoder, 67, Duncansville, passed away Wednesday.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Franklin and Betty (Plunkett) Yoder. He married Diane Spidle on April 17, 1982.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters: Elizabeth Tate (Rick Jr.) and Jennifer Peace (Daran); two sons: Frank (Karrie) and Cris Yoder (Donna); five grandchildren: Cristin, Kevin, Nicholas, Matthew and Allie Mae; two sisters: Karen Bushore (Richard) and Dawn Futrell (Elton); two brothers: Craig (Carolyn) and Doug Yoder; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two nephews: Chad and Carlin.

Barry was in the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 354 and retired in 2015.

Bear enjoyed doing unique and beautiful projects around his home, travelling and exploring different parts of the country with Diane, boating with his family on Lake Raystown, having many hunting adventures with family in his Jeep, and he was an avid photographer.

A celebration of his life will be held at 3p.m. Friday, July 17, 2020, at his home 2141 Maple Hollow Road, Duncansville, 16635. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
