Carol Louise (Starr) Amberson 76

Carol passed early Wednesday morning after a long courageous fight, surrounded by the love of her children.

Carol was originally from Evergreen Road in Leechburg, she lived for a short time in Akron where she went to school to become a beautician then relocated to Hollidaysburg to raise her family. She worked for the Hollidaysburg Area School District in dietary as well as a school crossing guard. She also for a short time worked for St. Leonard's Home and Garvey Manor.

Carol attended church at Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren and sang for the Hollidaysburg Chorus and later was a member of the Blair County Center for the Blind.

She has gone on to join her brothers and sisters and her parents who preceeded her in death. She leaves behind her daughter Jo Barr & husband John, their 3 children Roxanne Barr, Melinda DeAntonio (Anthony) & Lucas Barr, as well as 4 great grandsons (Seth, Jace, Gino & Nico). A daughter Marlene Snyder and her two children, Tasha Knorr (Dante) & Adrianna as well as a great granddaughter & greatgrandson (Hazel & Quincy) as well as a son, Richard Amberson and his son Joseph.

She will truly be missed by her family and the many friends she made along the way.
