Obituary for Carol L. Stiffler

Born on October 26, 1932 in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late James and Winifred (Beaver) Diehl.

Carol is survived by her one son, Donald C. Stiffler Jr.(Jennifer); two daughters, Susan D. Stiffler and Pamela S. Miller (Richard); brother, Robert Diehl (Barbara); sister, Helen Allison; four grandchildren, Brett Replogle, Krista Russell (Brenton), Laikan Replogle, and Marina Replogle (Bradley Mayne); three great grandchildren, Haylee Mayne, Samuel Russell and Henlee Mayne; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband Donald C. Stiffler Sr. on October 19. 2001 and three brothers: James E. Diehl, James R. Diehl and Harold Diehl.

Carol truly cherished the relationships that she made with her friends and family. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with the ones that she loved most, making lasting memories. Whether it was going on bus trips, traveling to numerous bowl games to cheer on her beloved Penn State Football team or spending time behind her camera as an amateur photographer, Carol valued her time with others. When she wasn’t spending time with her loved ones, she found comfort and joy in the art of meditation.

In 1950 she graduated from Altoona High School and went on to spend most of her working career at Sylvania. She was a member of the former Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.

Friends and family will be received from 10-11 AM on Monday, Jan 31, 2022 at The Good Funeral Home, 108 Alto Reste Park. A funeral will be held at 11 AM with Dr. Reverend George W. Bailey officiating. Interment will take place at Alto Reste Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s name to a charitable organization of your choice.
