Carol Ann “GaGa” Trexler, 84, of Lakemont, passed away Tuesday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of Oscar Ryen Sr. and Stella (Smith) Ryen.
She married Kenneth J. Trexler on March 26, 1960.
Carol is survived by her loving spouse, Kenneth; along with two daughters, Elizabeth VanNest (Lynn Kagarise) and Michelle McClellan (Ernie); two sons, Thomas Trexler (Michael Tomor) and Douglass Trexler. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Brianna McClellan, Jacob McClellan, Ryen Trexler, Casey VanNest and Russell VanNest; a great-grandchild, Matthew Trexler; as well as nieces and nephews: Jennifer Gallagher, Christine Fernandes and Annie DiFolco.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mabel McVey; and a brother, Oscar Ryen Jr.
Carol was a 1958 graduate of Altoona High School. She worked for Daycare Services of Blair County as a cook.
Carol enjoyed reading, camping and crocheting.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Altoona Area Public Library.
