Charlene J. Stonebraker, 75, of Altoona, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 with her loving daughters by her side. She was born on July 31, 1945 in Greensburg, the daughter of the late Fred and Lenora Nelle (Kane) Waine.
She is survived by two daughters: Jill Sutt and husband Jason, and Susan Mikesic and husband Anthony; four grandchildren: Adam Mikesic, and Thomas, Madeline, and Nicholas Sutt; one brother: Fredrick Waine, Sr. and wife Donna; and one nephew: Fredrick Waine, Jr. and wife Brianna.
Charlene graduated from Carmichaels High School in 1963 and the Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing in 1966. As a Registered Nurse, she served in various executive roles for several regional skilled nursing facilities and government agencies.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren. Charlene was well-liked and known for her quick wit and sense of humor. She loved animals, especially her Lhasa Apsos, Biscuit and Bandit. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
