Christy Richers- Bejmovicz, 47, Altoona, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday morning.
Born in Altoona, she was the daughter of Robert Jr and Sue (Hasentab) Richers.
On November 11, 2011 she married her loving husband Matthew Bejmovicz.
Along with her parents and husband, Christy is survived by her daughter, Breanna Richers; stepsons, Zachary and Nicholas Bejmovicz; sister Anita Richers; brothers Aaron Richers and wife Tarran and Phillip RIchers and wife Marisa; 1 grandchild; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Christy was a 1989 graduate of Altoona High School and a 2010 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University. She worked for the Department of Corrections for 25 years before her retirement. When she wasn’t at work she loved spending time with her family and going for walks. She enjoyed flowers, traveling, making candles and attending church at Our Lady of Lourdes.
Friends and family will be received at The Good Funeral Home Inc. from 10a-12 noon and 3-5p on Friday June 14, 2019. A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 15, 2019 with Father Aron Maghsoudi officiating. Burial will take place at Alto Reste Park.
