Daniel E. MacDonald, 63, of Johnstown, PA, formerly of Altoona, passed on December 17, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.

Dan was born in Altoona, PA on October 30, 1957, and was the son of John A. and Lena M. (Lingenfelter) MacDonald.

He is survived by his daughter Heidi MacDonald of Lilly; his sons Daniel MacDonald of Portage and Shawn MacDonald of Gallitzin; his sister Kathy MacDonald of Hollidaysburg; and his grandchildren Olivia Acker, Zoey Acker and Conner MacDonald.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Mike MacDonald.

Dan was a graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School, and served in both the Army and the Army Reserves. He worked for Veeder-Root, North American Communications, Carpenter Company and New Pig. Dan loved to fish, and spent many days fishing at Canoe Creek State Park and Lake Glendale. He enjoyed building model cars and planes, and loved antique cars. Dan will be deeply missed by all that loved him.

Services for Dan will be private due to restrictions regarding COVID-19. Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, PA.
