David M. Ehgartner, 45, Altoona, passed away on Sunday at his home, following a battle with ALS.
He was the son of David G. Ehgartner and Terra D. George.
Surviving are his parents, David G. Ehgartner (Helen), Terra D. George (Steve Gallagher); a stepbrother, Joseph Daniel Progl of New Alexandria; an uncle, Brian Ehgartner (Cathy) of Albuquerque N.M.; two aunts: Wendy Becher (Ron) of Altoona and Lisa Ehgartner in Florida; and four nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: George R. and Aldine (Deanie) Ehgartner and Charles F. and E. Anita George; and by an aunt, Sue Ann George-Gurney.
David was a 1992 graduate of Altoona Area High School and also attended the Penn State Altoona Campus for one year. David worked as a delivery person and cook at the OIP in Hollidaysburg, Little Caesars Pizza and Brothers Pizza. He also worked as an attendant at Cove Forge in Williamsburg and as a data processor at NEW.
David enjoyed video games and PC online games, Star Wars and Star Trek movies and TV shows, reading, cats, comedy acts, skateboarding, karaoke, Magic the Gathering card games and his Honda Civic VTEC SI.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Interment will be held in Alto-Reste Park. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
