Obituary for David K. Foor Sr.
DAVID K. FOOR, SR.
APRIL 11, 1938- MARCH 2, 2020
David Foor, eighty-one, was born in Altoona, the son of Fred H. Foor, Sr. and Lyle (Smith) Foor. In 1962, he married Alice Wogan with whom he shared fifty seven years of marriage.
Surviving are his wife, two sons: David Jr. of New Jersey and Scott and wife Jackie of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren: Tyler, Darby, Dallas, Keeley and Kara; three great granddaughters: Avah, Addie and Amelia. Also, surviving is a brother, Fred H. Foor Jr. of Hollidaysburg. Dave was preceded in death by two sisters: Connie Reid and Mary Jeanne Stoltz and a brother, Michael. He was also blessed with some very special friends.
In 1956, Dave graduated from Hollidaysburg High School and in 1972 from Penn State University. He enjoyed playing golf and bowling and he was also a lifetime member of the Heidelberg Country Club. But most of all, he was a lover of music. He taught music in the Hollidaysburg School District, first as a band director, then as an elementary music teacher. He also gave private instrumental lessons.
Friends and family will be received from 9 am until 11 am, and then a memorial will take place at 11 am at the Good Funeral Home at 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, on Saturday, March 7th.
