Obituary for Donna Jean High (Rogers)

Donna Jean (Rogers) High, 70, of Altoona, formerly of Windber, passed away on Friday.

She was born in Ogletown, daughter of Noah E. and Pauline V. (Brown) Rogers. On July 29, 1971, she married Garwood L. High.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Melissa Settlemyer, and Florene Brunner (Jeffrey); brothers, Roy and Harry Rogers (Sheryl); sisters, Karen Lybarger (William), Tena Becker (Clair), Grace Carillo (Frank), Phyllis Godin (James), and Jane Salsgiver (James); grandchildren, Sasha Halton, Carissa Hallman, Brooke and Kiley Maher, Evelyn Pine, Robert Settlemyer, Kimberly Blanset (William), Rachael Beegle (Buck), David, Chastity and Carter Brunner; great-grandchildren, Hazzen Beegle, Alylah Settlemyer, Ronin and Raiden Blanset, Jacob and Baby Brunner; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, James Rogers.

Donna worked in customer service for several companies over the years.

She enjoyed painting rocks to hide, be found, and to watch them travel around the world. She loved craft-making, and always looked forward to her special monthly arts and crafts nights. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donna will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her.

Friends and family will be received for a visitation at The Good Funeral Home, Alto Reste Park, from 5 PM - 8 PM on Wednesday, Feb. 23, and from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service on Thursday, Feb. 24. Pastor Terry Farr officiating. Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Park.
