Obituary for Dora M. Thomas

Dora Marie Thomas, 81, of Ocala FL formerly of Altoona, PA passed away at West Marion Hospital in Ocala, FL.
Dora was born in Pittsburgh, PA daughter of Louis & Katherine Lentz. She married the love of her life, Raymond Thomas on November 16, 1962.
Surviving are her husband, Raymond of Ocala, FL, son John Matthew Thomas (Sherrie) of Gainesville, FL, daughters Tracy Lynn Bonner (Dan) of Pittsburgh, PA and Melanie Lee Perrin (Mike) of Altoona, PA. Seven grandchildren, Ben Scheinberg, Philadelphia PA, Jordan Thomas, Gainesville FL, Nathan Scheinberg, Philadelphia PA, Cristin Yoder, Pittsburgh PA, Alex Thomas, Gainesville FL, and Madeline Bonner, Pittsburgh PA. A daughter, Laura Rae Thomas-Scheinberg preceded her in death.
Dora adored her family and grandchildren, and was so proud of their accomplishments and enjoyed spending time with them and staying involved in their lives. Dora was owner of Colonial State Adjusters in Altoona, PA until her retirement in 2015.
There will be a public visitation from 11am until the 1pm service on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Alto Reste Park Chapel, 109 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, PA. Interment will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Central PA Humane Society in honor of the many fur babies Dora loved and cared for throughout her life.
Arrangements are under the care of the Good Funeral Home Inc., Altoona.
