Doreen K. Kenawell, 64, Altoona, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Sunday.
Born in Lewistown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leroy F and Joan (Leister) Pry.
She is survived by the love of her life, her soulmate and husband, Jerry L. Kenawell; 2 loving daughters, Marceline Pry and Rebecca Esworthy, both of Altoona; 3 sisters, Sharon Leister of Hummelstown, PA, Lisa Bomberger of Port Royal, PA and Denise Pry of Mexico, PA; 5 grandchildren, Christopher Esworthy, Abagail Esworthy, Cheyann Gunter, Nicholas Esworthy, and Brandon Pry, all of Altoona.
Along with her parents, Doreen was preceded in passing by Michael Kelly and Gary Pry.
Doreen graduated from East Juniata High. In her professional career she worked at Unimart, Wissingers, Blair Senior and Peer Star. In her spare time she loved to crochet, cook, going fishing, camping, thrift shopping and collecting her precious frogs. Most of all Doreen loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received from 6-8pm on Friday, March 29, 2019 and again on Saturday from 10-11am at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, PA. A funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11am following the visitation.
