Dorothy L. Swan, 92, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John Kenneth and Gertrude ( Freet) Woodcock. She married Gerald Swan on Aug. 28, 1947 and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1975.
Surviving are two daughters: Deborah Clabaugh (Jeff) and Lori Crone (Dave); three sons: Stephen (Alice), J. Rodney (Claudine), and Robert Swan (Lisa); nine grandchildren: Christopher (Nicole), Cody, Colleen, Adam, David (Shanna), Brittany (Doug), Mark (Amy), Cassie (Ryan), and Michael; seven great-grandchildren: Colin, Noelle, Zoe, Julian, Chelsea, Greyson, and Abigail; and three sisters: Mary Jane Hoffman, Martha Caoldwell, and Linda Hale.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Swan; and two sisters: Anne Marie Stoiber and Nancy McMullen.
Dorothy was a member of the Frankstown Park Missionary Church, a 1946 graduate of Altoona High School, and attended the Pace Institute in Reading, PA.
She enjoyed feeding birds, caring for wildlife, and spending time with her family, especially vacationing in the Outer Banks. Dorothy was employed at the American Bank in Reading. She worked at Sears, and was an apartment manager in Altoona.

Dorothy L. Swan, 92, Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020. Due to the recent COVID-19 recommendations and restrictions, the scheduled public visitation service that was to take place on Friday, March 20, 2020, has been cancelled. A memorial service for Dorothy will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
