Obituary for Dustin Michael James

Dustin Michael James, 36, of Altoona, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, the son of Soni Pirozzola and the late Richard Schnaubelt.
Dustin was a 2005 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He then attended California University of PA.
Dustin was an employee at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. Some of his hobbies include listening to music, playing video games and spending time with his family and friends. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his daughter, his little princess, Avery Rose.
He is survived by his daughter, Avery Rose James; his mother, Soni Pirozzola and her husband, Francis, of Altoona; his girlfriend, Krystle Fowler, and her two sons, Hayden and Landon of Altoona; and his paternal grandmother, Corky Schnaubelt, of Altoona. Also surviving are some very special cousins who he loved dearly as siblings.
Dustin was preceded in death by his father, Richard Schnaubelt; grandparents, Carol James, and Joe and Lana James.
Friends will be received from 3 until the 6 p.m. funeral service Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
