Obituary for Earldine Ruth "Deanie" Moore
Earldine “Deanie” Ruth Moore, 93, a resident of the Allegheny Lutheran Home, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022.
She was born on April 1, 1929, in Altoona; a daughter of the late Earl and Martha (Beard) Myers. In 1959, she married J. Robert Moore who preceded her in death on January 28, 2008.
Deanie graduated from Altoona High School, then later from the first class of the Altoona Beauty School. She then operated a salon from her home. Deanie loved nature and being outdoors, especially flowers and bird watching. She was a homemaker who always put her family's needs above her own and cherished the time spent with them. She had a strong, passionate faith in God. She was a member of the 58th Street United Methodist Church in Altoona where she taught Sunday School in the children’s department and later an adult class.
She is survived by two children; Lawrence “Larry” W. Frey of Altoona and Amy D. Ruggles (Michael) of East Freedom; four grandchildren, Larry Frey (Kim), Lori Hennaman (Jake), Lindsee Ruggles, and Erin Porta (Aaron). Also surviving are five great grandchildren; Ethan, Hailey, and Courtney Frey, Cole Hennaman, and Violet Porta.
Deanie’s family would like to thank the Allegheny Lutheran Home and Grane Hospice for the exceptional care she received.

To celebrate the life of Mrs. Moore, there will be a private service held for her family. Interment will be held at Alto Reste Park, Altoona.
