Obituary for Florence "Jean" Novosel
Florence “Jean” Novosel, 85, of Altoona passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 at UPMC Altoona.
She was born on March 2, 1937, in Altoona; a daughter of the late John Clapper and Alice (Gardner) Clapper. She married Samuel Novosel Sr. who preceded her in death on March 10, 1994.
Jean enjoyed going to bingo and doing her crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her eight children and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Novosel, Polly Novosel-English and Lisa Salyer; four sons; Samuel Novosel Jr., Stephen Novosel, Thomas Novosel, and Kenneth Novosel. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Schleich.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m until the time of service at noon on Monday, July 11, 2022, at the Good Funeral Home, 108 Alto Reste- Park, Altoona. The service will be officiated by her son-in-law, Anthony English.
Interment will be private at Alto Reste- Park, Altoona.
