Hilda ‘Jean’ Lukens

Hilda “Jean” Lukens, 98, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Sunday at home. She was born in Huntington, daughter of Walter and Alice (Whitfield) Morningstar.
She was married to Harry “Barney” Lukens for 66 years. He preceded her in death in May 2009.
Surviving are four children: Perry and his wife Cheryl, Susan Kaylor, Judy Coley and her husband Jim, and Debbie Rider; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her honorary daughter and friend, Elaine Anderson. Also surviving are two sisters, Olive Bishop of Ohio and Betty Brown of Huntington.
Preceding her in death were her brother, Elvin Morningstar; and sisters, Ruth Lightner and Helen Rhone.
Jean was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
We love you, Mom. You are “In the Garden” now but your love will always be with us. Till we meet again.
Family and friends will be received from 2 until the 4 p.m. service Thursday, July 29, 2021, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park.
