Inez ‘Cookie’ Long

Inez "Cookie" Long, 80, Duncansville, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Alvin K. and Dorothy (Harpster) Hagerty. She was raised in the home of her late uncle and aunt, Earl and Inez Krow.
In April of 1958, she was united in marriage to Larry E. Long. He preceded her in death in 1966.
She is survived by daughters: Denise Anderer and her husband Bob of Phoenix, Ariz. and Lisa Herman and her husband Andrew; grandchildren: Jennifer Anderer, Jessica Dubbs and her husband Daniel, Emily Biter and her husband Mark, Tyler Herman, Brittany Herman and Lindsey Herman; great-grandchildren: Alexia Valenzuela, Danica Dubbs and Leah Biter; and great-granddaughter on the way, Elliana Biter; and special friend of 55 years, Ron Sassano.
Inez was a graduate of Altoona High School, Class of 1958.
She worked at J.C. Penney for 25 years until her retirement.
Cookie loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her whole life.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
