Obituary for James "Jimmy Jet" Lower
James “Jimmy Jet” Lower, 80, of Boyce Avenue, Altoona, PA; passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at home. He was born on January 9, 1940 in Altoona, PA; a son of the late James E. and Charlotte (Feeney) Lower. He is survived by children Alisa Rife, Aurora Ressler, Jimmy Lower and Merle Lower; grandchildren Benjamin, Brandon and Maverick Lower. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by siblings Robert Lower and Richard Lower.
After graduation Jimmy went on to serve in the United States Navy serving from 1960-1962. He was employed as a truck driver for Ward Trucking until his retirement in 2007. Jimmy was a huge drag racing fan and movie buff and enjoyed going to the beach.
