James Harold Mannion Sr., 73, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Key West, Fla.; a son of the late John and Hilda (Simms) Mannion.
On Dec. 18, 1970, he married Linda (Chuta) Mannion who preceded him in death on Nov. 11, 2020.
Jim was a 1968 graduate of Altoona Area High School. After high school he joined the Navy, proudly serving his country from 1970-76.
He was employed by Blair Electric where he worked as an electrician for many years.
Jim enjoyed sports cars and going for runs. He was a lifetime member of the Bavarian Aid Society and a former member of Cesare Battisti Club.
Surviving is his son, James H. Mannion Jr. of Portland, Ore.; sister, Robyn Barree and her husband, Dennis, of Altoona; three sisters-in-law, Sharlene Mannion, Sharon Mannion and Carol Chuta. Jim is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Eric, Matt, Nathan, Allen, Bryan, Denise, Johnny, Heather and Jennifer.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and David Mannion.
Honoring Jim’s wishes, there will be Military Honors held in the summer at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
