James E. Stuart, 94, of Duncansville passed away on Friday surrounded by his family at The Winds at Mattern Orchard.
Born in Renovo, James was the son of the late James and Hazel Elizabeth Kitchen.
On December 25, 1945, he married the love of his life Grace E. Johnson, who preceded him in death on February 4, 2012.
He is survived by his daughter Rachel Sackenheim, husband Eric, of Chesapeake, VA; two sons, James A. Stuart, wife Eva, of North Wales, PA and Thomas L. Stuart, wife Roslyn, of Marysville, PA; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and long time friend Jean Orr.
Along with his parents and wife, James was preceded in death by his brother Wayne E. Stuart.
James proudly served his country during WWII as a US Marine aboard the USS Vincennes.
Friends will be received from 10am until noon on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at The Good Funeral Home Inc, Alto Reste Park. A funeral service will take place at noon. Interment will be at Alto Reste Park.
