May 5, 1927 - Dec. 2, 2020

Jane Mae Craine, 93, of Altoona passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Norman E. and Blanche M (Kenepp) Geesey. Jane married Terrence J. Craine on Nov. 7, 1947 and he preceded her in death on June 7, 1981.
Surviving are: one sister, Joan Weigner; and nieces and nephews: Darrell, Bruce, Steve, Margie, Sandy, Karen, Bobby, Carolyn, and Claire.
Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Karas; three brothers- in-law: Robert Karas, Harvey Wallace, and Ron Weigner; and a nephew: Michael Wallace.
Jane was an avid crafter: she enjoyed beading, crocheting, fabric painting, and was an excellent cook and baker. Her peanut butter fudge was legendary. She also loved casino bus trips to Seneca, Rocky Gap, Meadows, and Rivers, to name a few.
Jane also enjoyed getting together with her fellow retirees from Sylvania/ Phillips ECG in Altoona where she worked for 42 years. She left school in 1943 at the age of 16 to assist her mother and two younger sisters, Norma and Joan, but went on to get her G.E.D.
All services will be privately held at the convenience of her family. Interment will take place in Alto Reste Park. Arrangements are with The Good Funeral Home Inc. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central PA Humane Society.

I spoke with Jane often when she would call into Freedom Excursions to book her casino trips!! We became fast talking buddies. She was a hoot to say the least. So sorry for your loss.
