John J. Speckhart, Jr., 82, of Hillview Senior Living; passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at home. He was born on August 18, 1938 in Phoenixville, PA; a son of the late John Joseph Speckhart, Sr. and Rachel (Renard) Speckhart. He was united in marriage to the late Wallis Roberta Speckhart; she preceded him in death in 1981. He is survived by three children that he raised by himself, John J. Speckhart III married to Teresa; Susan Ann (Speckhart) Jones married to Jason and Brian Speckhart; grandchildren Joseph Byer, Natalie Jones, Hazel Jones, Dylan Jones, Chase Speckhart, Ellie Speckhart and Andrew Douglas Mitchell and many Nieces and Nephews. Along with his wife and parents John was preceded in death by siblings Helen Cabbot, Margaret Croak, Robert Speckhart and Stephen Speckhart and grandchildren Misty and Jeremy Brumbaugh.



Mr. Speckhart served in the United States Army. After the army he then worked as a forger in a foundry. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on vehicles and especially spending time with his family. In his free time he could often be found doing carpentry work which he really enjoyed.



All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family with Pastor Robert Kephart officiating.
