Obituary for June W. Glass
June W. Glass, 87, of Altoona, passed away November 27, 2022, at UPMC Altoona.
She was born on June 1, 1935, in Niagara Falls, NY; a daughter of the late Clarence and Myrtle (Hannold) McClelland. On April 9, 1954, she married Ivan Glass who preceded her in death on April 25, 2004.
Some of June’s hobbies included going to bingo and working on puzzles. She also had a passion for helping others. She often would volunteer at the Salvation Army and Altoona Center for nursing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Surviving is her daughter, Gladys Hann; three grandchildren, Stacy Walk, Michelle Legros and Benjamin Forshey. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Susan Forshey and Cindy Glass, and a granddaughter, June Hann.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at the Good Funeral Home Inc, 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, PA. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022, at the funeral home.
