Obituary for Karen Lee Patterson
Karen Lee Patterson, 64, of Altoona passed away on August 1, 2021 at UPMC Altoona.
Born on August 25, 1956, in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Sara (Lair) Otto.
Karen is survived by her loving husband Robert Patterson; 6 sons, Samuel Orr Jr., Chris Orr, Andrew Orr, Shawn Orr, Jack Orr and Jarome Orr; 2 daughters, Samantha Bennett and Summer Patterson; 3 sisters, Jeanie, Doris and Linda;a brother, Ed as well as 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna.
Karen was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Altoona.
She loved to be outside and found so much joy going camping every year with her husband and family. She treasured time spent with family and friends, as well as her loving dog and cat. Karen collected all different types of flowers and was fascinated by their beauty. She never went anywhere without her fill in books to occupy her time and she was a frequent player at bingo.
Family and friends are welcomed to gather and have a time of remembrance at noon on August 25, 2021 at the Canoe Creek State Park pavilions, followed by a potluck lunch.
