Obituary for Kenneth Paul Ott

Kenneth Paul Ott, 75, of Altoona, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona.
He was born Sept. 25, 1946, in Altoona; a son of the late Robert J. and Margaret A. (Walker) Ott. On July 6, 2001, he married Terry (Holman) Ott who survives in Altoona.
Kenneth proudly served his Country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, earning his honorable discharge. He worked at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, retiring after 30 years.
Kenneth was a member of the Newburg Fire Hall. He always looked forward to camping and beach trips with his family. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Chuck Nolan (Tracy) of Altoona and Kenneth Ott (Alyssa) of York; three grandchildren, CJ Nolan, Brynn Ott and Reese Ott; four siblings, Patty Kiser (Don), Carol Riggleman (Kevin), Jerry Ott, and Richard Ott (Lou Ann); He is also survived by his best friend George Shumac and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret Ott and a sister Peggy Allmond.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m - 11 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, at The Good Funeral Home, 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with Military Honors following. Burial will be private at Alto Reste Park, Altoona.
