E. LaRue Johnson of Altoona passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday April 23, 2019. Surviving are her daughter Donna Morgan and husband Dan of North Carolina, 2 grandsons- Richard Lucas of Scottsdale AZ and Michael Garrett wife Angie of Alum Bank PA, 2 great grandsons- Carter and Cameron Garrett, a son in law Gary Morgart, and a host of close friends. Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her first husband of 49 years, Charles Lucas, by her second husband Lewis Johnson, and by her daughter Linda Garrett Morgart. She loved the company of her many friends and easily made new ones along the way. She greatly enjoyed gardening, decorating, word search puzzles, crafts, sewing, entertaining guests, and most of all, cooking, especially for those who came to visit and chat. A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday May 11, 2019 at The Good Funeral Home Inc. Alto Reste Park. In Lieu of flowers , donations can be made to The American Cancer Society, Blair Unit.
