Obituary for Linda L. Luther

Beloved mother and wife, Linda Louise Luther passed away unexpectedly at the age of 74 at UPMC Altoona from complications post surgery.
Originally from Coupon, PA, she was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Mark and Violet (Gardini) Luther. On July 15, 1997, she married Glenn E. Helsel in Winchester, Va.
Surviving are her husband of 24 years; son, Mark Pulcinello; stepdaughter, Tracy Kiesewetter; grandson, Kylor Kiesewetter (Maddie); granddaughter, Mahra Henry (Leroy); and two great grandchildren, Theo and Iris Henry. Linda is also survived by her sister, Elaine Smithmyer (Gary), along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews including a special cousin, Sondra Bernazzoli.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlene Beegle and Gloria Jean Myers; and a stepson, Travis Helsel.
Linda was a 1966 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Indiana University. After teaching for 30 years, she retired and enjoyed her family, travel and Curve baseball. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Linda had a great gift to find humor and happiness in almost any situation. She enjoyed her spa time with special family and friends. Linda and her husband traveled cross country three times and she relished those memories by retelling the simple pleasures encountered in those adventures. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.
Her family will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest every day.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, February, 16, 2022 from 2:00 PM until the 4:00 PM funeral at The Good Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, PA 16601. Entombment will be held privately at Alto Reste Park.
