Obituary for Lois K Burk
Lois K. Burk, 88, of Martinsburg, passed away April 19, 2022, at UPMC Altoona.
She was born June 27, 1933, in Kladder Station, PA; a daughter of the late John W. and Kathern R. (Wise) Smith. On May 31, 1952, she married James A. Burk, who preceded her in death in 2006.
Lois loved going to fellowship at church and talking to Danny Horton. She was a very devoted Christian woman who loved to pray. Some of her favorite hobbies included: yard sales, bingo, listening to music, playing cards, flowers and talking to neighbors. Lois was a social butterfly and cherished seeing everyone at the family reunions, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Lois is survived by two sons, Charles W. and John R. Burk (Cheryl); two daughters, Linda Robison (Wayne) and Lisa Lee (William Jr.); as well as 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two children, a brother, 6 sisters and her beloved dog Buddy.
Family and friends will be received from 4-7pm on Friday, April 22, 2022, at The Good Funeral Home Inc, 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona. A funeral service will be held immediately following with Danny Horton officiating.
