Obituary for Loretta Irene Hemberger
Loretta Irene Hemberger, 86, Martinsburg, passed away Sunday night at Homewood at Martinsburg.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Howard and Gertrude Yingling. She married Louis Anthony Hemberger, and he preceded her in death on June 13, 1996.
Surviving are two children: Michael Hemberger (Judy) and Kathy Ellis, both of Altoona; a granddaughter, Gabrielle Boonie (Jason) of Huntingdon; five great-grandchildren: Mackenzie Brandt, Landen and Kinley Barnes, and Caryn and Carissa Trexler; a niece, Sandy Watson of Altoona; and a nephew, March Klinger of Aurora, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Klinger; and four brothers: Mahlon, Kenny, Bill and Roy Yingling.
Loretta was a graduate of Altoona High School. She worked as a secretary for the McLanahan Corp. until her retirement.
She was a member of the Trans4mation Church of Altoona.
At Loretta’s request, there will be no public visitation or service. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Alto-Reste Park. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
