Margaret A. Aungst

Aug. 22, 1929 - Aug. 13, 2020

Margaret A. Aungst, 90, of Hollidaysburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born in East Freedom, daughter of the late George L. and Ethel Marie (Snowberger) May. Margaret married Harold C. Aungst who preceded her in death in 1989.

Surviving are two sons, Terry L. (Pamela) and David M. Aungst; six grandchildren: Tara McCloskey, Joshua, Thaddeus, Mandy, David, and Brian Aungst; 14 great-grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by two sisters: Ruby Zeek and Ruthie May, Ruby’s twin sister; and by two brothers, Robert Lee and George “Tom” May.

She was a member of Vicksburg Grace Brethren Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and helped in the kitchen. Margaret was a Hollidaysburg High School Graduate and worked for Kopp Drug for a number of years.

All services will be privately held. Interment will take place in Alto Reste Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc.
