Marie E. McBride, 99, Altoona, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, at Hillview Chateau, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Queen, daughter of the late Clyde and Myrtle (Mock) Acker. She married Maynard McBride in 1965, in Altoona, and he preceded her in death in 1993.
Surviving are two sons: Robert Acker (Gail) and Ronald Yeager (Sally); a stepdaughter, Sharon Jernigan; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Nancy; five brothers; and a sister.
She was employed with the Pennsylvania Rail Road, Puritan Sportswear, Warnaco and also worked as a home health aide after her retirement. She was a member of Jaggard United Methodist Church.
Marie loved her Pomeranian dogs, shopping, fishing, and gardening.
Family and friends will be received from 1 until the 2 p.m. funeral service Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park, Chaplin Timothy Guyer officiating. Interment will take place in Alto-Reste Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
