Mary J. James, 82, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Portage, daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy (Nicewonger) Sinclair. On Nov. 21, 1959, she married Andrew G. "Andy" James Sr. in Altoona. He preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 2019.
Surviving are two daughters: Karen DeLuca (Anthony) and Tammy Myers (John); three sons: Andrew Jr., Michael and David James (Christie); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Stella Raptosh; a brother-in-law, Herbert Hostler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters; and a great-grandson, Logan.
She along with her late husband owned and operated Andy's Bar and Grill. She also worked at Weis Market and retired in 2016. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Altoona.
Mary enjoyed watching her grandchildren's sporting events and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Pastor John L. Emig officiating. Entombment will take place in Alto-Reste Park.
