Mary L. (Lucy) Lytle, 88, went to be with her Lord on Thursday at her home in Altoona.
She was born in Roaring Springs, PA; a daughter of the late Mearle Sr. and Helen (Shoenfelt) Shaffer. On Sept. 14, 1956, she married William K. Lytle Jr. who preceded her in death on March 16, 2014.
Lucy enjoyed reading mystery books and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by so many.
She is survived by her two sons, Bryan Lytle (Sandy) of Altoona and Steve Lytle (Terri) of TX; four grandchildren, Jared, Miranda, Shawn and Jeremy; one great-grandchild, Baker; two siblings, Mearle Shaffer, Jr. of Roaring Springs and Lois (Cookie) Shaffer of Altoona. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lynne Black.
Friends will be received from 12p.m.-2p.m. on Thursday, Nov.18, 2021, at the Good Funeral Home, 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona. The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on the 18th at the Berean Baptist Church,
2465 Mill Rd, Duncansville, with Pastor Barry Fry officiating. Interment will be private at Alto Rest Park, Altoona.
