Mary Lou Morrison, 87, of Duncansville, PA; passed away on Sunday December 6, 2020 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was born on January 23, 1933 in Silsbee, Texas; daughter of the late James Otis and Bessie (Crosby) Hicks. She was united in marriage to Edgar Pierre Morrison; he preceded her in death in September of 1989. She is survived by daughter Sandra Shaw married to Dale, Duncansville, PA; grandchildren David married to Bethany, Camarillo, CA and Dawn Summerville married to Mike, Cresson, PA; great-grandchildren Eli, Dayne and Jayce Summerville; sister-in-law Faye Hicks, Silsbee, TX; nieces and nephews Linda Lou Bridges, Lumberton, TX; Debra Adaway, Cosmesneil, TX; Esca Hicks, Lumberton TX; Frances Venable, Silsbee, TX and Becky Dubose, Lumberton, TX. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by daughter Jeri Douga; siblings Edna Kelly, Helen Watts and Esca Hicks, Sr.
Mary was a graduate of Silsbee High School Class of 1951. She was employed by Crockett & Gilchrist, A&P Grocery Supermarket and Caraway Motors, all located in Silsbee, TX. She was formerly a member of the First Penecostal Church in Silsbee, TX and the Smith Corner Church in East Freedom, PA. Mary enjoyed planting flowers and gardening as well as spending time with her family and community members. The Family would like to thank the staff at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for the outstanding care provided to Mary.
All services will be held privately at the family’s convenience.
