Matthew Thomas Counsman
July 15, 1983 – Dec. 19, 2021
On Sunday our hearts were broken when the soul of Matthew Counsman left this earth. He’s the cherished son of Marcia Watters Counsman and Patrick and Connie (Imler) Counsman; beloved brother to Meghan Counsman Reese; and brother-in-law to Joel Reese; dearest uncle to Clara and Nolan Reese; and loving grandson of Joan (Neff) Watters.
Matt will be greatly missed by those who loved him, including: his uncles, aunts, cousins, and many close friends; Bill Good; his Champ’s family; and his best buddy, Berkeley.
Matt graduated from Hollidaysburg Senior High School and IUP. He was especially talented in spinning records and enjoyed playing video games, target shooting and being with family. He was a wonderful uncle and loved spending time with his niece and nephew. He was extremely kind and had the biggest heart.
Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park. Father David Roesch officiating.
Out of respect for the family, all friends and family are asked to wear masks during the visitation and funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local animal rescue organization in Matt’s name.
