Maureen L. (Matthews) Archey, 75, of Hollidaysburg passed away on Thursday after an extended battle with Alzheimer's disease.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of Eugene A. and Violet G. (Sanders) Matthews. On February 25, 1966, she married Larry F. Archey, and they shared 52 years of marriage until his passing in 2018.

Maureen is survived by her daughter, Sandra Pero (Joseph Figliola); sister, Karen Mountain; brother-in-law, Denny Mountain; grandchildren, Trey Pero (Briana), and Ryder Pero; great grandchildren Logan and Aiden Pero; niece, Danielle Taddy; nephew, Keith McCulloch; grand niece, MaKenna Taddy; grand nephew, Kyler Taddy, and her dog, RJ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sister, Regina Logan.

Maureen cherished time enjoying nature. She and Larry loved gardening, planting flowers, beautifying their home, and watching hummingbirds together. She had a special gift for interior decorating, and had the ability to make ordinary items that she found into treasures. Maureen also enjoyed playing piano, dancing, shopping and swimming. Most of all, she treasured every moment spent with her family and friends.

Maureen will be remembered for the kindness and love that she showed to all who knew her.

Friends and family will be received for a visitation at The Good Funeral Home, Alto Reste Park, from 3 PM until the 4 PM funeral service on Sunday, March 6th with Rev. Roger Johnson officiating. Entombment will take place at Alto-Reste Park.
