You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on

My cousin Minnie was the sweetest person and you were fortunate if you knew her. She gave her heart to everyone that touched her life. She adored her husband,Bill, her children and grandchildren. They say Angels walk among us only sometimes they don’t have wings ... That was Minnie 🙏🏼

Melinda, (Minnie) is my cousin, and certainly one of my favorites. We met as kids, but did not start conversing and corresponding until we were adults, as I am 7 years older. Minnie has given me much advice; she was one of the smartest and most intelligent people I have ever known. I wish I had followed her advice, as she was wise and extremely insightful. Besides being a beautiful and lovely person, she was kind to all. I loved everything about her, and admired her cleverness, fabulous sense of humor, and skill with animals. I feel fortunate to have had her as a cousin, friend, and trustworthy confidante. Minnie, til we meet again! Love, Cousin Toni
