Obituary for Melinda Kay "Minnie" Little

Melinda Kay “Minnie” Little, 55, of Williamsburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday July 20, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 4, 1963 in Roaring Spring, daughter of Lloyd Anthony”Tony” and Patricia A. (Dick) Good. She married William R. Little on September 21, 1986 in St. Mary s Catholic Church Altoona. Surviving are her husband, two daughters- Nicole D. Kagarise (Brent); Sara M. Michaels (Logan); a son- Anthony J. Little(Cortney); and a step daughter- Cynthia A. Little; four grandchildren- Evan and Olivia Michaels, Landon Stehley, James Little, three step grandchildren- David, Faith, and Kaysee Watson. Also surviving are Three sisters- Carol L. Guerin; Amy L. Fagan (Richard); and Robin M. Housley (Robert) and one brother- B. Charles Good;; many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are Minnie’s 4 horses- Ike, Beauty, Tom, and Rocket, her dog- Dottie, and her cat- Nutmeg. Minnie was preceded in death by her father- Tony, her sister- Pamela A., brother and sister in law- James C. and Patricia A. Little and Grand nephew- Eli Guerin. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg where she served on the church counsel. Minnie retired as a TSS worker for The Altoona Area School District, former manager of Domino’s Pizza in Millersville, and also worked as a flagger for Grannas Brothers in Williamsburg. She was a 1981 graduate of Altoona High School and attended the Youth Conservation Corp Camp at Mt. Pocono Manor while in high school. Minnie enjoyed Horseback Riding, volunteering for just about anything, spending time with her family and friends, vacations to Virginia Beach, and being adventurous with indoor skydiving. She was a Girl Scout leader, Member of Dreams Go On, High Hopes, St. Vincent Depaul, and various horseback riding clubs. Friends will be received from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. Thursday July 25, 2019 at The Good Funeral Home Inc. A funeral mass will be held on Friday July 26, 2019 at 10a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Williamsburg. Interment will follow in Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
