Peggy Ann Sipes, 60, Altoona, passed away on Monday morning at UPMC Altoona, surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness.
She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Paul Judy and Dawnfloris (Arnold) Dougal.
Surviving are her loving husband of 42 years, Barry Sipes; a son, Barry Sipes Jr. and wife, Ashley; two daughters: Kelsey Sipes and Jennifer Belgin and husband, Brian; five grandchildren: Christian, Hannah, Ava, Aly and Raelyn; a brother, Paul Judy; and a sister, Judy Burr.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Madilyn Belgin; and her brother, Randy Judy.
She was a member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church where she ran the children's bible study.
Peggy loved to garden and had plants all around her home. She enjoyed reading, shopping, couponing and rescuing dogs. She walked her dog, Lexie, two miles every day to make sure she was happy, always keeping track of her walks on her Fitbit. She loved working at UPMC as a patient access representative. Above all, Peggy loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who will miss her dearly.
Friends will be received for an 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
