Rachael Leigh Vanderlin, 32, Ocala, Fla., formerly of Altoona, passed away Friday in Florida.
She was born in Williamsport, daughter of Michael and Stephanie Vanderlin. Surviving are her son, Ethan Hammond; her mother, Stephanie; her fiance, Robert Walsh; three sisters: Jennifer Schorner (Matthew), Ashley Rosado (Santos) and Olivia Simasek (Stephen); a brother, Timothy Card; and many other family members that she loved and that loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Vanderlin.
Rachael was a strong advocate for Spina Bifida Awareness. She was passionate about people and had an immense love for her son, Ethan.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the noon memorial service Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at the First Church of Christ, Altoona, Pastor John Collins officiating. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
In lieu of flowers, simply practice acts of kindness in Rachael's memory.
