Obituary for Ralph Tinker

Ralph Tinker, 83, Martinsburg, passed away Tuesday at home. He was born in Huddersfield, England, a son of the late Harry and May (Gates) Tinker. On Sept. 3, 1960, he was united in marriage to Margaret (Petherick) Tinker.

Along with his wife, he is survived by children: Allison Everhart and husband, Steve, Stephen Tinker and wife, Stephanie, and Andrew Tinker and wife, Beth; siblings: Dorothy and Eric Tinker: and six grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Keith Tinker and Malcolm Tinker.

Ralph served in the British Army as a cook and a surgical assistant.

Ralph worked as a laborer from 1951-77 where he mostly worked with sheet metal and as a welder. Starting in 1978, he helped to start Season-Aire Inc., from which he retired in 2001.

He was a member and a deacon of Christ Community Church and enjoyed spending time biking and singing in the German Choir, Altoona Mannerchor.

At the request of the family, all services will be held privately.
