Raymond E. Settlemyer, 82, of Altoona, passed away Saturday evening at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Clarence and Pauline (Conrad) Settlemyer.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Genevieve A. (Morgan) Settlemyer; his daughter, Tammy Steele; five grandchildren: Troy, Cory, and Jeremy Lonsinger, Evan Sutton, and Carly Steele; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald and George Settlemyer; and several nieces and nephews.
Raymond was preceded in death by his son, Daniel S. Settlemyer; and seven brothers and sisters.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and doing word search puzzles.
Raymond was a member of the St. Stanislaus Kosta Brotherhood, Unter Uns, and Bavarian Aid Society.
He retired from Focarelli Heating and Plumbing as a sheet metal worker.
All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park. Interment will take place in Alto Reste Park.
