Raymond W. Smith
April 15, 1946 - June 25, 2019
Raymond W. Smith, 73, Duncansville, passed away Tuesday evening at home, surrounded by his family after an extended illness.
He was born in East Freedom, son of the late Sherman and Margaret (Dodson) Smith. On Sept. 21, 1968, he married Barbara Byrnes.
In addition to his loving wife, surviving are his son, Brian Smith; a daughter, Sherry Ponder; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers: Ricky and Ronnie Smith; and four sisters: Irene Albright, Doris Smith, Dorothy Bogel and Diane Bogel.
He was preceded in death by eight siblings.
Raymond was a simple man. He enjoyed his family, camping and street rods. He worked for NAPA for 38 years before his retirement in 2007.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2019, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park. A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, Pastor Richard Harter officiating. Burial will take place at Alto-Reste Park.
