Richard Kelso Dobson, 59, of Altoona Died Monday May 13, 2019 unexpectedly at his home of
natural causes. He was born on November 6, 1959 in Altoona, son of the late Richard T. and
Annette M. (Rogal) Dobson. Surviving are 2 sisters- Jean D. Johnstone husband Bruce of
Altoona and Ann D. Mormak of Sugarloaf and 1 brother- Thomas R. Dobson wife Beverly of
Mercer,PA. And several nieces and nephews. Richard served in the Peace Corps in 1990 and
worked in Tanzania and Thailand with the International Relief Corp. He held various positions in
Civil Engineering Companies in both PA and VA. Richard received his Bachelor's degree in Civil
Engineering From Penn State. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening and was a faithful and
loving caretaker of both of his parents for 7 years prior to their passings. Friends will be received
from 12p.m. until 1 p.m. Memorial service on Saturday May 25, 2019 at The Good Funeral
Home Inc. with internment to take place in Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
