Robert Lawrence Frank, 66, of Denver, Pa., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday after a brief illness. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Melvin G. and Lorraine D. (Shaheen) Frank.

Surviving are: his sister, Barbara E. Frank, of Altoona; two uncles: Joseph Frank Sr. of Altoona and Vincent Frank Jr. (Millie) of Hollidaysburg; and numerous cousins.

He was a 1971 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School and obtained his bachelor's degree in marketing and retail from Penn State University.

He was an avid sports enthusiast of all sports with a special passion for baseball. He was the past regional president of the National Amateur Baseball Federation where he was also recognized as its "Man of the Year."

Robert worked in marketing and advertising within the grocery industry and worked as a purchasing agent for Associated Wholesalers Inc. in Robesonia, Pa. He also worked at the office of Unemployment Compensation and recently retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare as a case manager in Lancaster County.

Robert was a member of the Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ephrata, PA. He was a blessing to whoever crossed his path. His love for Jesus and his compassion and caring for his fellow man were his greatest attributes.

Family and friends will be received from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019 at The Good Funeral Home Inc. Interment will be at Alto Reste Park.
