Rosalie (Sremanak) Faris, 81, passed away Tuesday at the Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, Worcester, Mass.
She was born in Johnstown, daughter of the late Nicholas and Sadie (Salem) Sremanak. On Jan. 9, 1971, Rosalie married Alex Faris, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 2011.
Surviving are a sister, Erma Kean and husband, David; a brother, Nicholas Sremanak Jr. and wife, Janice (McLoota); two aunts: Clara Marko and Florence Gost; a niece, Rosalie Walkowski; five nephews: James and Christopher Sremanak and Tim, Gregory and Nick Kean; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Rosalie was a member of St. George Orthodox Church in Altoona. She attended Temple University and Millersville University where she received her bachelor's degree in nursing. Rosalie served as a school nurse for the Hollidaysburg Area School District.
All funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of her family. Interment will take place in Alto Reste Park. Local arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
