Sally A. Scaramozzino, 83, of Hillview, formerly of Martinsburg, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in East Freedom, a daughter of the late Jacob and Elsie (Nofsker) Freidenbloom.
Sally married Pat Scaramozzino on Sept. 7, 1976, in Las Vegas, Nev. and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three fur babies: Wiggy, Annie and Bella.
Sally is survived by five siblings: Phyllis Keim (Jon) of Martinsburg, Barbara Black of Martinsburg, Floyd of East Freedom, Norma Snyder (Rick) of East Freedom and Ronald of Martinsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Sally was a 1955 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and a graduate of ATCT School of Nursing.
She retired as a claims adjuster for Travelers Insurance, and then started a second career as an LPN at Blair Christian Home.
Sally was a former member of Smith Corner Mennonite Church and then became a member of the Roaring Spring Mennonite Church.
She was a former member of both the Duncansville and Martinsburg VFWs and was a past president of both Ladies Auxiliaries. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Red Hat Society.
Services will be privately held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Alto Reste Park. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
